My Introduction and Path to Photography

welcome to my blog

Welcome! I am so glad you found my site and my work!

A bit about me. I was born in Israel and spent three years of my childhood living on a boat. I am pretty sure these early years formed the basis of my Wunderlust.

As a young girl, when adults asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I had two consistent answers: a Supreme Court justice or a National Geographic photographer. Both could shape a future I believed deeply in. While I would love to interpret and shape the law in the way Supreme Court judges do, I am fairly certain that was never in the cards for me. That said, my love for photography has never wavered. Now in my 40's I am finally turning that passion into a career.

My journey to becoming a professional photographer has been circuitous, with detours that included a stint in corporate work at one of the big 5 consulting firms (a terrible fit from the start) and a career as an independent entrepreneur owning and operating Pilates studios in NYC and the Hamptons (my dream job in and for my 20s and 30s). Despite these diverse paths, I have always had a love for photography and a desire to pursue it professionally. And with great joy I am today!

Thanks for taking an interest in my journey! I would love to hear from you, so drop me a line anytime.
