  • Crafted with spline joints and archival everything.
  • Frame depth ranges from 1 1/4" - 2 1/4" depending on size of frame, frame face from 1/2" - 3/4".
  • There are four finish options: Bright White Maple, Natural Ash, Natural Walnut and Natural Oak. Other frame colors are available as custom orders.
  • Images are framed with a 1.5" white mat, except images that are 40x60 which are printed without a mat.
  • If you prefer no mat for any size please contact the shop for a custom order.
  • Frames are exquisitely handmade and are works of art in themselves.
  • Pieces are framed with museum grade 99% UV-filtering plexiglass. If you will be hanging your art in a space with a lot of light and reflection, we recommend you upgrade to Optium Museum Acrylic anti-reflective.
  • Art framed in a style where the print is set to the back of the frame with a spacer between the print and the plexiglass.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Where does one start with iconic Nantucket! There are so many opportunities to capture beauty on this small island with such a rich history. The light is sensational and the landmarks vast. I knew I wanted to capture the beaches and the lighthouses, what I was not expecting was how much the homes and the boats would draw me in. One could spend a lifetime shooting this island and never run out of subject matter.

During my visits to the island, I always find myself thinking of the time it served as the whaling capital of the world. Although so much has changed, the damp, salty air has likely not. It is the type of air that reminds me of my ocean passages as a child. You feel so connected to the ocean wherever you are on the 14 mile stretch. I suspect that is what draws so many to it; it is certainly what made me fall in love with the island.
