ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I had the chance to visit Panama in the summer of 2022. I knew I wanted to focus my photography on the canal, but the city itself was equally captivating. The country's beauty resides in the blend of old and new. From a helicopter's vantage point, the Panama Canal is a testament to human ingenuity, cutting through the land to connect the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. But the real attraction is the preserved natural beauty protected by the indigenous communities that dwell along the coast.
